Few months ago, we’ve been thinking about an alibi to hang around with fellow creatives around town. Surprisingly, we normally buy coffee beans to our neighboring coffee shop Nightjar Coffee in Alserkal Avenue, we saw some stickers populating a pole around the counter. Apparently, we have good amount of stash of stickers lying around the studio, an idea came up. a sticker-based event. stuck:dxb was conceived. We approached the cafe and agreed to have their shop as a venue. So, we activated and made it an official event/gathering
stuck:dxb was the first ever official sticker exchange and meet-up in Dubai. The event mechanics were simple: bring your stickers, trade, and enjoy the coffee. The event was the perfect way to meet like-minded individuals over a cup of coffee.

‘Byahe’ is an exhibition and film showing by design studio Ape Creative. It explores the culture and the craft of hand painted lettering on signage. The core inspiration for ‘Byahe’ arose out of an interest in hand painted signage iconically found on vehicles in the Philippines. ‘Byahe’ will explore how people connect through their stories of their travels and experiences using elements of typography & design on signage exemplified in collaborative effort of the designers of Ape Creative. The exhibition is a celebration of the slowly dying craft of hand painted signage - that often overlooked and or ignored.
